What's inside

Everything inside PCOptimizer

Cleanup, repair and game tuning in one app. Every action is labelled Safe, Ask first or Needs admin, and almost everything can be undone.

Safe

A. Pre-Queue & One-Tap Actions

Quick jobs to run right before you launch Valorant, CS2, Fortnite or Apex Legends.

I'm About to Queue

One click to trim memory and quiet background notifications before a match, with a before/after receipt.

PC DNA Snapshot

Copy a hardware card (CPU, GPU, RAM usage, host) to keep a baseline or share when asking for help.

Undo Last Tune

Rolls back the most recent tweak if you don't like it.

Non-Invasive

B. Memory & Performance ("Boost")

Adjust how Windows hands out resources without touching game memory.

Working Set Trimmer

Asks Windows to release memory idle background apps (browsers, chat apps, overlays) are holding, without closing them.

Power Plans

Switch between High performance and Balanced plans, including core-parking settings.

Game Priority

Gives the game first claim on CPU cores through the Windows scheduler, without injecting anything.

Reversible

C. Smart Disk Cleanup ("Clean")

Clears temp files and caches that pile up over months of normal Windows use.

Everyday passes

Temp files, thumbnail cache and a DNS flush, without touching your Downloads or personal files.

Quarantine + one-click restore

Removed temp and browser files go to quarantine first, so you can bring them back.

Scan targets

Measures browser caches (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera GX), crash dumps and Windows temp folders before anything is removed.

Elevated

D. System Repair ("Repair")

Runs Windows' own recovery tools for you, without a command prompt.

System File Checker (SFC)

Runs and monitors sfc /scannow in the background.

Component Store Repair (DISM)

One-click DISM /RestoreHealth when SFC alone can't finish the job.

Restore Points

Prompts for a System Restore checkpoint before deeper changes.

  • Auto-tune when you game

Game detection applies Game Mode, Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling and fullscreen optimization settings automatically.

  • DNS presets & flush

Switch between DNS presets and flush the DNS cache without digging through adapter settings.

  • Audio mixer & presets

Per-app volume and mute in one panel, plus presets for games, music or calls.

  • Tray app & scheduler

Lives in the system tray and runs maintenance on a schedule you set.

  • Verified self-updates

Updates install themselves, and each download is checked against its SHA-256 hash before it runs.

  • Focus session

Mute notifications while you play, straight from the Home screen.

Under the hood

Exactly what each tool does

No vague “speeds up your PC” claims. Pick a module to see the real mechanism behind every action, what it touches, what it refuses to touch, and how to undo it.

Clean

Reclaim disk space from caches Windows forgets to empty

Clean scans the folders that accumulate junk over months of normal use: Windows temp directories, thumbnail databases, crash dumps, delivery-optimization leftovers and per-browser caches. It measures first and removes second, so you see the real number before anything is touched, and removed temp and browser files go to quarantine so you can bring them back.

Actions & underlying mechanism
ScanSafe

Measures reclaimable bytes per target without deleting anything.

Mechanism: Recursive directory size enumeration on known cache paths.
Undo: Read-only — nothing to undo.
Quick OptimizeSafe

Clears temp files, thumbnail cache and flushes the DNS resolver cache.

Mechanism: File deletion on temp paths + ipconfig /flushdns equivalent API call.
Undo: Temp files go to quarantine first and can be restored in one click; caches rebuild on their own.
Clean selectedAsk first

Deletes only the targets you leave checked after a scan.

Mechanism: Targeted deletion limited to the scanned cache set.
Undo: Temp and browser files go to quarantine first and can be restored. Emptying the Recycle Bin is permanent.
Deep CleanNeeds admin

Reaches component-store and system-level caches a normal pass skips.

Mechanism: Elevated cleanup across WinSxS and Windows Update backup stores.
Undo: Prompts for a restore point first; rollback via System Restore.
What it touches
  • %TEMP% and C:\Windows\Temp
  • Explorer thumbnail + icon cache databases
  • Windows crash dumps and minidumps
  • Delivery Optimization / Windows Update download leftovers
  • Browser HTTP + shader caches (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox, Opera GX)
  • Recycle Bin (only when explicitly confirmed)
What it never touches
  • Saved passwords, cookies or login sessions
  • Browser bookmarks, history or profiles
  • Documents, Downloads or any personal files
  • Installed programs or game files
Realistic expectation

How much it finds depends entirely on the machine. A PC that has never been cleaned usually has more to reclaim; on an already-tidy system it may find very little, which is normal and not a fault.

Stays outside game memory

No injection. No hooks. No game file changes.

PCOptimizer works through Windows APIs, power plans and memory working sets, outside any game's memory. It doesn't hook into games or modify their files. No tool can promise it fits every anti-cheat policy, so if your game's rules forbid optimization utilities, follow the game's rules.

Anti-cheat & system safety

Operates outside game memory

PCOptimizer never injects DLLs, hooks game processes or modifies game files. Priority and affinity are set from outside through the OS scheduler, the same surface Task Manager uses.

No overclocking

Nothing in PCOptimizer changes GPU or CPU voltage, clock speeds or power limits. Performance work is limited to Windows power plans and scheduling.

No registry mass-deletion

PCOptimizer deliberately avoids 'registry cleaner' behaviour. Only specific, documented networking values are written, and they can be reverted.

Rollback built in

Undo Last Tune reverses the most recent change, and System Restore checkpoints are offered before elevated repairs.

Worth saying plainly: no third-party tool can be guaranteed against every anti-cheat policy. PCOptimizer avoids the techniques that cause problems — injection, hooking and file modification — but if your game's rules forbid optimisation utilities outright, follow your game's rules.

Privacy boundaries

Measured locally, stays locally

Hardware readings, directory sizes and process lists are read on your machine and rendered in the app. They are not uploaded as part of normal operation.

No file content is read

Cleanup works on file paths and sizes. PCOptimizer does not open, parse or transmit the contents of your documents.

Credentials are out of scope

Browser cleanup is limited to HTTP and shader caches. Password stores, cookies, bookmarks and profile data are excluded by design.

You confirm destructive steps

Anything irreversible — Recycle Bin, crash dumps, Deep Clean — requires explicit confirmation, and deeper repairs prompt for a restore point first.

FAQ

Got questions?

Anything else? Email [email protected].

How do I get my license key?
Pick a license length under Pricing and pay through Stripe checkout. Your license key is emailed to the address you used at checkout. It usually arrives within a few minutes. Paste it into PCOptimizer's login screen to unlock the full app. Questions or problems? Email [email protected].
I paid but the email hasn't arrived. What now?
Check your spam, junk or promotions folder for an email from PCOptimizer with your license key. If it still isn't there after 30 minutes, email [email protected] and include the email address you used at checkout.
Is there a free version?
Yes. PCOptimizer opens in free mode until you add a key, so you can install it and look around first. Try free mode.
What's the difference between the 1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Month and Lifetime keys?
All four unlock the same full app. The only difference is how long the key lasts. Lifetime is a single payment with nothing recurring.
What happens when my 1 Day, 1 Week or 1 Month key expires?
The key simply stops activating the full app. There's no subscription and no auto-renewal. If you want to keep going, you buy another key.
Is PCOptimizer safe to use with anti-cheat games?
PCOptimizer works through standard Windows APIs, power plans and memory working sets. It never injects into game processes or modifies game files, so it stays outside game memory. No third-party tool can promise it fits every game's rules, so check your game's own rules if you're unsure.
Can I undo what it does?
Yes, for almost everything. Temp and browser files removed during cleanup go to quarantine first and come back with one-click restore. Undo Last Tune rolls back the most recent tweak, and PCOptimizer prompts for a System Restore point before deeper repairs. Emptying the Recycle Bin and deleting crash dumps are permanent, and the app asks before doing either.
Does it touch my files, passwords or browser data?
No. Cleanup targets temp folders, caches and crash dumps. Profiles, saved passwords, cookies, bookmarks and personal files are left alone.
Why does it ask for administrator rights?
Some things Windows only allows with admin access: SFC and DISM repair, Deep Clean, restore points, power plan and DNS changes, and system-level game settings. Windows asks for permission before the app can make those changes.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 (21H2 or newer) and Windows 11, 64-bit only. There is no macOS, Linux or ARM build.
How much performance will I actually gain?
It depends on your bottleneck, and it's worth being honest about that. A 16 GB machine running a browser, chat apps and a few launchers can benefit from RAM trimming and power-plan changes. A high-end rig with nothing in the background may feel almost no difference. PCOptimizer frees resources that are being wasted; it can't create headroom that was never there.
Does PCOptimizer overclock my GPU or CPU?
No. Nothing in PCOptimizer changes voltage, clock speeds or power limits. Performance work is limited to Windows power plans, core parking, process priority and scheduling.
Is this a registry cleaner?
No, deliberately. Bulk registry deletion tends to cause more problems than it solves. The only registry values PCOptimizer writes are the documented TCP latency settings in the Network tool, and those are reversible.
Can I use my key on a different PC?
Keys are tied to the PC you activate them on. If you replace your PC, email [email protected] with the address you paid with.
What's the refund policy?
Placeholder (TBD): refund policy to be added here.
